BD LIVE OPERATES ONLY AFTER INSERTING SD CARD, 2009-12-30Hearing about a movie remake of the original series made me,unsure on how it was going to evolve.But I guess with the creativity of J.J ABRAMS and Paramount it paid off, by uniting a younger crowd of Trekie followers with the older ones to create a whole new universe.
I decided to check it out, and I was very impressed with J.J. ABRAMS vision of a whole new universe. Just looking at what was done in redesigning the ship from previous shows. The bridge really threw me by locating it on the underside of the saucer, where as in previous movies and series it was on top, and taking a new spin on the characters was amazing. The movie was as awesome at the theater as it is at home now by owing a copy.
Paramount has a web site dedicated to Blu Rays. This is where you would register for BD LIVE in order to have access through your Blu Ray player for the added features. After doing some investigating into this site it states that Paramount BD LIVE is only available to US RESIDENTS. Needless to say I contacted my Blu Ray manufacturer they told me to insert an SD CARD into my player. After following my manufactures instructions BD LIVE is working now...!
So for those who have bought Paramount movies, and a warning comes up that you have no internet connection is it's because the SD card is required. BD LIVE will work only after you insert an SD CARD, and is available to us Canadians...!
