I've been working out to Susan Powter videos off and on for several years. There are a number of good things about her different workouts. For one thing, her exercise "class" is not a group of superthin model types. There are some heavy, hefty people in there. This allows her to show you how to modify movements for your fitness level, as she says several hundred times.

Susan's before and after pictures of her weight are motivators, but even more so is her constant talking and encouragement throughout the video.

The movements are simple and easy to do, but require exertion. They can also be repetitive, involving the same stepping up and down on a box and the same arms lifts over and over. Personally, this caused me to lose interest; but the aerobic workout in the video is safe, easy to work with, and would work well as an alternating workout with strength training.
