Very light and comfortable 'phones; ideal for portable sound sources such as DAB/FM stereo radio, MP3 players, etc. The closed-back design isolates the listener very well from ambient noise, and also means that anyone sitting next to you isn't likely to be bothered by the sound you're listening to, even at very high volumes.

Realsitically these 'phones were probably never intended for serious, prolonged, static 'hifi' listening; but connect them to a high quality CD or turntable/amp combination and they can sound surprisingly good - not far short of some dedicated 'hifi' 'phones at twice the price - although at that stage many people find open or semi open-backed designs to give an inherently more natural or spacious sound.

The only drawbacks to just this sort of indoor hifi use - and the only reason for the lack of a 5th star in the rating - are the short [2m] lead and the rather loose 3.5mm to 6.3mm adapter. Neither of those niggles affect their intended use as portable device headphones!

Excellent value, and at this sort of price {~£25} virtually a give-away.
