I have been a fan of SOAD since Toxicity came out 4 years ago. I then aquired their other albums ever since. They are hard to categorize...metal, thrash, progressive..whatever. In my opinion this is they're best effort to date. I've been eagerly awaiting this for along time and I'm not disappointed. I was pleasantly suprised how melodic and alternatively hard this album is. It just shows they're amazing range and depth. The lyrics are political, and sometimes weird as previously mentioned by another reviewer, but never boring. I'm looking forward to the second half, "Hypnotize", coming out this fall.
Reviewed By A2BOX3M8BRWNHRThis album and the follow-up have been a painfully long time in coming, but well worth the wait. If you are a SOAD fan you'll love this album and if you haven't heard them, check it out.
