This dark action thriller not only looks flawless on blu-ray, but has a ton of extras - including: 4 commentaries, in-movie experience (pic-in-pic), countless featurettes etc. and the doc The Matrix Revisited, as well as The Music Revisited - also there's an in-case booklet of pix and bio-notes / trivia (37 pgs). Though there's some footage repetition, overall fans will definitely get their money's worth. The Matrix is still a unique and original film which is best appreciated as a stand-alone classic. (Despite the fact that the 2nd film in the Matrix Trilogy, Reloaded, is good, the 3rd installment, Revolutions, is best forgotten.) Seeing the Matrix in gorgeous clarity on blu-ray is like watching the best version yet, and this still-cool film is highly recommended.
