US Marines in roman disguise, 2006-05-13I can't keep myself from wondering about the accuracy of this book, after reading the books from C. McCullough.
There is a lot of action and a lot of sreaming "I can't hear you" and "Yes Sir!", make me think of good old Full Metal Jacket, all the time.
Yound Cato is running through a burning village, coughing because he was exposed to so much smoke and then he cringes because of the smell of a cape he took from a german?
In conclusion: The book has a lot of action and therfore it is an easy read for a bored sunday afternoon. Just don't pay attention to the details and don't expect to learn anything about rome.
