Amusing in places, but very samey, 2010-03-31Having read the classic 'Henry Root Letters' I wanted more, so I bought this book and Robin Cooper's 'The Timewaster Letters' - the latter being much funnier.
The basic premise of this book is about the author trying to blag a free T-shirt from various companies and organizations. He tries more and more bizarre, and occasionally funny methods to persuade the companies to send him free stuff. I found their replies just as funny as his requests, even the seriously worded ones!
This is quite a thin book, I read it in a couple of hours. It's the kind of book to have in your loo for a brief chuckle whilst 'otherwise engaged'.
